Cloud Engineer
About Aurexillion
Aurexillion Technologies is a US-based AI and IT consulting company helping businesses build secure AI systems, cloud platforms, automation workflows, data solutions, and custom software. We focus on practical digital transformation, not empty technology hype. Our work is centered on reliable architecture, secure delivery, cloud modernization, strong engineering practices, and long-term business value.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to help design, build, migrate, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure and cloud-native systems for global clients. As a Cloud Engineer at Aurexillion, you will work on cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, data platform migration, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, security, and production reliability. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on cloud engineering, solving complex infrastructure problems, improving system reliability, and working with distributed teams in a remote environment. You should be comfortable owning technical work, communicating clearly, documenting decisions, and helping clients move from legacy or fragmented systems to secure, scalable cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent platforms.
- Support cloud migration and modernization projects for applications, databases, services, and data platforms.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, infrastructure deployment, and data workflows.
- Design reliable cloud networking, IAM, security groups, access policies, storage, compute, and monitoring systems.
- Work with engineering teams to deploy cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and automation workflows.
- Support database and data platform migration projects, including schema planning, data movement, validation, and reconciliation.
- Build observability using monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and incident-response workflows.
- Improve cloud security, reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, and performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, technical recruiters, and client stakeholders.
- Document cloud architecture, deployment processes, runbooks, and technical decisions.
- Mentor team members and help improve cloud engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience designing and deploying production cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and Git-based workflows.
- Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, storage, compute, and monitoring.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Aurora, RDS, or similar systems.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely with global teams.
- English level C1 or higher for technical calls, documentation, and client communication.
