Role Overview

As a Software Engineer — Java at Aurexillion Technologies, you will work on backend services, APIs, microservices, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise software solutions. You will be responsible for writing clean, reliable, testable code and contributing to systems that are secure, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready. This role is a strong fit for someone with solid Java and Spring Boot experience who enjoys solving real business problems, working with distributed teams, and building backend systems that can support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services for enterprise applications.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design to development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.
• Create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and client stakeholders.
• Support production systems by troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues.
• Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, services, and system behavior.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support reliable data-driven applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, planning, estimation, and delivery.
• Stay current with backend engineering best practices, cloud tools, and modern Java technologies.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architecture.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar.
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar tools.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of application security, performance optimization, and scalable backend design.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, C1 or higher.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment.

• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, payment systems, fintech systems, or large-scale backend platforms.
• Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, OAuth, JWT, or role-based access control.
• Familiarity with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience working with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
